How to use the worksheets
- 1
Say the words before the pencil comes out. Read the sheet's words aloud once, pointing at each one, and have your child say them back. Then pick up the pencil.
- 2
Go in this order: trace, match, label, fill in. Tracing hands your child the whole word; fill-in asks them to write it from a word bank. Stop at the sheet that starts to feel like work.
- 3
Print the chart first. Every set has a matching chart on its Spanish Basics page. Tape it up near the table so your child can look up a word instead of asking.
- 4
One sheet per sitting. Ten minutes is plenty. Read the finished sheet aloud together and put it on the fridge.
