- 1
Start at the window. Before any sheet, look outside together and ask ¿Qué tiempo hace hoy? Answer it out loud, then sit down to write.
- 2
Give each phrase a gesture. Fan yourself for hace calor, shiver for hace frío, wiggle your fingers down for llueve. Do the gesture as your child traces the phrase.
- 3
Fill the week sheet across a real week. Write one line each school day, El lunes hace sol, after looking out the window. On Friday, draw today’s weather in the box.
- 4
Llueve and nieva stand alone. On the label sheet, there is no hace in front of llueve or nieva. Read the word bank aloud first so your child hears the difference.
- 5
Check the match sheet outside. After the lines are drawn, step out and pick the one picture that matches today. Say that phrase together.
The weather in Spanish page has every phrase with pronunciation, the morning window question and a one-page chart to print. Hang the chart by the window you check each morning.
