- 1
Make the 100 chart a weekly routine. Print a fresh copy of the 100-chart sheet each week. Set a five-minute timer, fill in what you can together, and say each number aloud in Spanish as it goes in.
- 2
Count real things before the label sheet. Your child touches each dot and counts out loud, uno, dos, tres, then finds the word in the bank. Touching keeps the count honest.
- 3
Hear the pattern in the tens. On the tens trace sheet, say the endings with a little stress: treinta, cuarenta, cincuenta. Point out that most tens end the same way.
- 4
Eleven to fifteen are their own words. Once, doce, trece, catorce, quince have to be remembered. From sixteen on, the word is ten plus a number: dieciséis is diez and seis.
- 5
Younger kids start with the trace-and-match page. It stays between uno and seis. Leave the 11 to 20 sheet and the 100 chart for when counting to ten is easy.
The Spanish numbers chart covers 1 to 100 with pronunciation and the patterns behind the teens and the tens. Keep it beside the 100-chart sheet as the answer key.
