Privacy Policy

When you sign up for the free Manuel y Lola starter pack or join the list for updates, you give us your email address and, if you choose to fill it in, your first name. We also note which page you signed up from, so we know which parts of the site are helpful.

You don't have to give us anything to use the site. The starter story at /downloads/starter-pack and our printables download without an email.

Your email address, first name (if given) and signup page are stored in a database hosted by Supabase. Your email and first name are also added to a contact list at Resend, the service we use to send email. Our hosting provider, Vercel, keeps a log entry of each signup with the same details.

We use this to send you a welcome email with your free story and occasional updates about Clase de Profe resources. We don't sell or rent your email address to anyone.

Every email we send has an unsubscribe link at the bottom, and many email apps also show a one-click unsubscribe button. When you unsubscribe, we mark your address as unsubscribed in our database and at Resend, and we stop sending you emails. You can also just email privacy@clasedeprofe.comand we'll take care of it.

Unsubscribing keeps a record that you opted out, so we don't email you by mistake later. If you would rather we delete your information completely, email privacy@clasedeprofe.com and ask.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used. It records things like which pages are viewed, how far down a page people scroll, clicks on links to other sites, file downloads and completed sign-ups. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. We don't currently show a cookie banner.

We also use Vercel Web Analytics, which counts page visits in aggregate. According to Vercel, it does not use cookies.

You can opt out of Google Analytics on every site with Google's browser add-on. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser's privacy settings; the site still works without them.

Some book recommendations on this site are Amazon affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. When you click through, Amazon may set its own cookies so it can tell the purchase came from our link. Amazon's own privacy notice covers what it collects. You can read more about how we choose and label these links on How We Make Our Resources.

We rely on a few companies to run the site. Each one only handles what its job needs:

• Vercel hosts the site. Like most web hosts, its server logs record basic request details, including your IP address. It also provides Vercel Web Analytics.
• Supabase hosts the database that holds our email list.
• Resend sends our emails and keeps our contact list.
• Google Analytics measures how the site is used.
• Amazon Associates runs the affiliate program behind our Amazon book links.
