6 free worksheets for the 27 letters of the Spanish alphabet, Ñ included. The set opens with the alphabet chart, then asks your child to trace, match and fill in: capitals and small letters on handwriting lines, letters matched to words, and missing letters to write. - 1
Say the letter's name before tracing it. Use the Spanish name from the chart, a, be, ce, then the word on the sheet: be, boca. Your child traces while you say both.
- 2
One trace sheet per sitting. The letters are split into three sheets, A to I, J to R and S to Z. One sheet a day keeps the hand fresh.
- 3
Stop at the ñ. On the J to R sheet, point at the ñ and say eñe, ñandú. The little wave on top is part of the letter, so it gets traced too.
- 4
Stretch the first sound on the match sheet. Before your child draws a line, say the word slowly with a long first sound, ssssol, and let them find the letter.
- 5
Say the alphabet to find the gaps. On the fill-in sheet, say the letter names in order together and stop at each blank. Your child writes the letter you stopped on.
The Spanish alphabet page explains each letter’s sound, the silent h and the ch, ll and rr pairs. Read it before the first trace sheet.
