- 1
Wave, then write. On the label sheet every picture is a moment: a sunrise, the moon, a wave goodbye. Act each one out with the greeting before your child writes it: wave and say adiós.
- 2
Read the conversations in two voices. The fill-in sheet has two short dialogues. Once the blanks are done, you read one part and your child reads the other, then swap.
- 3
Pick one traced word for the whole day. After the trace sheet, choose one word, gracias or por favor, and use it in Spanish at every meal until bedtime.
- 4
Say it aloud on the match sheet. Each time a line is drawn, your child says the Spanish greeting out loud. If the English side is hard to read, you read it.
- 5
Answer the question for real. When the sheet asks ¿Cómo estás?, ask it for real at the table and wait for Bien, ¿y tú? before you answer.
The greetings on these sheets are on the Spanish greetings chart, with pronunciation and the breakfast greeting. The chart goes by the front door; the sheets go on the table.
