How we make our Spanish resources
We want you to trust what you read here. This page explains the principles behind our stories and guides, how we write and review them, and how we keep our recommendations honest.
What guides everything we publish
Clase de Profe is a small resource project. “Profé” is our house editorial persona — a consistent voice, not a claim about any one person's qualifications. What we can promise is a clear, consistent approach to how we make things.
Comprehensible input first
We start from a well-established idea in language education: people acquire a language best when they understand messages in it. Our stories are written so meaning comes through the words, pictures, and rhythm — not from translating every line. New vocabulary always appears in context.
Repetition over novelty
Each story leans on a small set of high-frequency words and repeated sentence patterns. We would rather a family re-read one story for a week than rush through ten. Repetition is what turns exposure into real, lasting familiarity.
Written for the non-fluent parent
Most of our readers are still learning Spanish themselves. So every resource includes English support and, where helpful, simple pronunciation notes — so the adult can lead confidently instead of feeling tested.
Natural, everyday Spanish
We aim for warm, natural Latin American phrasing — the way a family actually talks — rather than stiff textbook Spanish. Our flavor leans Argentine, but the language we choose for beginners is widely understood across the Spanish-speaking world.
How we write and review a story
Pick one teaching focus
Every story is built around a single high-frequency verb or pattern (for example, tener, estar, or a bedtime routine) so the learning goal is clear and small.
Draft the story for meaning and rhythm
We write short, one-sentence-per-page text that reads aloud well, repeats key words, and stays gentle enough to finish calmly at bedtime.
Review the Spanish for accuracy and naturalness
We check that the Spanish is correct, natural, and beginner-appropriate, and that the English support genuinely helps rather than over-translates.
Add the parent layer
We attach vocabulary, read-aloud tips, and simple activities so a parent can use the resource the same night, with no prep.

- We don't overpromise. Our resources are an enrichment tool, not a guarantee of fluency. Progress in a language comes from steady, repeated practice over time.
